e-SEWA- Indian Consular Services System Portal for Misc. Consular Services

The following consular services are available exclusively through the SEWA online portal:

  1. Attestation of Civil Documents

  2. Attestation of Power of Attorney

  3. Attestation of Affidavit

  4. Certificate for Registration of Birth

  5. Certificate for Registration of Death

  6. Issue of NRI Certificate

Online Application Process

Step 1: Access the Portal

Visit the e-SEWA portal at: https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/

Step 2: Register as a New User

First-time users should select “User Registration/New User” and provide the required details, including:

  • Name and Surname

  • Email Address

  • Mobile Number

  • Date of Birth

  • Passport Number

  • Nationality

After submitting the information, applicants will be asked to confirm their registration details by re-entering their email address, mobile number, and passport number.

Step 3: Activate Your Account

To activate the account:

  • Enter your email address and captcha code.

  • Click “Get OTP” to receive a One-Time Password (OTP) via email.

  • Enter the OTP received and confirm the verification.

  • Create and save a new password.

Once completed, your account will be activated and ready for use.

Step 4: Complete Your Profile

Log in using your registered email address and password. After logging in, complete your applicant profile by providing all required information and submitting the details.

Step 5: Select the Required Service

From the dashboard:

  • Click Online Services → Apply for Services

  • Select the Country and Mission

  • Choose the required consular service from the available list

Step 6: Submit Your Application

Complete the application form and upload all required supporting documents before submitting the application online.

Step 7: Verification by the High Commission

The High Commission will review the application and supporting documents.

  • If the application is complete, the applicant will receive an approval notification through the portal.

  • If additional information or documents are required, an objection notice will be issued online. Applicants should upload the requested documents and resubmit the application for further review.

Step 8: Visit the High Commission

After receiving approval from the High Commission, applicants should visit the Mission with:

  • A printed copy of the online application form

  • One set of photocopies of all uploaded documents

  • Original supporting documents

  • Bank deposit receipts for the applicable fees

Step 9: Payment of Consular Fees

The fees indicated in the portal should be deposited into the following ECO Bank accounts:

ICWF Fee

  • Amount: NLe 50

  • Account Name: HIGH COMMISSION OF INDIA - ICWF

  • Account Number: 6340031352

Service Fee

  • Deposit the remaining service fee into:

  • Account Name: HIGH COMMISSION OF INDIA

  • Account Number: 6340030066

Example: For Attestation of a Civil Document (Total Fee: NLe 300):

  • NLe 50 to Account No. 6340031352 (ICWF)

  • NLe 250 to Account No. 6340030066 (Service Fee)

Important Note

Applicants are strongly advised to visit the High Commission only after receiving online approval of their application and depositing the prescribed fees into the designated ECO Bank accounts.
